Road workers plan to complete preparations for the summer season on Belarusian roads by May 9

The main task of the national highway enterprises is to bring order to the road network they service.
To ensure road safety, road surface repairs are an absolute priority. Since the beginning of the year, approximately 60,000 square meters of seasonal potholes have been repaired on the national road network.
A lot of work is being done to remove debris from the right-of-way, and to tidy up (clean, wash and paint) the elements of the infrastructure: bus stops, rest areas, road signs, bridges and overpasses.
Thus, according to the duty dispatch service of RUE “Minskavtodor-Center” as of March 23:
- 3 km of barriers and 1 km of guardrails were painted, along with 1,694 road sign posts.
- 1,226 road signs were replaced, and 12,686 signal posts were installed (painted).
- 782 bridges were cleared of de-icing material residue.
- 3,369 km of shoulders were profiled, and 46 km of gravel and crushed stone surfaces were graded.
- 6,206 km of right-of-ways were cleared of debris.
- 206 bus shelters were put in order.
- 156 benches and 30 waste bins were repaired and installed.
