The EAEU has agreed on the issuance of special permits for the transportation of hazardous goods

The EEC Board approved general approaches to harmonizing procedures within the EAEU for processing and issuing special permits for the transportation of hazardous goods along roads included in the list of Eurasian transport corridors and routes.
The document sets out general recommendations for all member states on determining the issuance and validity periods of special permits, the application form, and the information to be provided.
The EAEU member states are recommended to set the following deadlines:
- issuance of a special permit (no more than six working days)
- validity of a special permit (no more than one calendar year).
The implementation of these recommendations will simplify the process of obtaining special permits and reduce costs in the implementation of transport, logistics, and control and supervision procedures, the Eurasian Economic Commission reported.
