Digitalization and modernization: The Ministry of Transport on urban public transport development priorities

Andrey Gladkiy, head of the department's automobile and urban passenger transport department, spoke about plans for the near future:
"In the first quarter of 2026, approximately 160 vehicles (buses, electric buses, and trolleybuses) were purchased in the republic. By the end of the year, the plan is to achieve at least 10% of the total public transport fleet being renewed."
Much attention is also being paid to the digitalization of passenger road transport. On April 1, the President of Belarus signed Decree No. 108, which provides for the creation of a unified state information system for ticket sales for passenger road transport.
◽️"The main goal is to integrate all existing ticketing systems so that passengers can select a route, destination, seat, and travel on a single resource," noted Andrey Gladkiy.
