Key issues on the agenda:
A roadmap for implementing the key areas of the coordinated EAEU transport policy for 2027–2029 is currently being developed. The conditions and stages for the further development of a unified transport space and a common market for EAEU transport services in road, air, water, and rail transport are being defined.
The heads of the Ministries of Transport discussed the development of a pool of infrastructure projects within the EAEU. They also addressed issues of digitalization in transport and information support for vehicle control at the Union's external border.
Optimal lists of information have been determined for applications for the issuance of a special permit for the passage of equipment and the transportation of goods, including the passage of heavy-duty vehicles, the transportation of hazardous goods during international transportation along the roads of Eurasian transport corridors, as well as the passage of heavy-duty vehicles during international transportation along the roads from the list of Eurasian transport corridors and routes.
The Council members agreed to continue work on implementing a coordinated mechanism within the EAEU to monitor the work and rest schedules of drivers engaged in international road freight transport.
