The meeting was held at the Representative Office of the Standing Committee of the Union State in pursuance of the instructions of the President of Belarus to promptly resolve pressing issues of citizens of the Union State.
The 4.3 km long section includes an overpass, two railway lines and two roundabouts. It is equipped with bicycle and pedestrian connections and street lighting. The modern highway will relieve traffic congestion in the district center, increase the capacity and speed of transit flows.
Belarusian Transport Week includes the International Specialized Exhibition "Transport and Logistics" and a thematic business program. The forum is held with the support of the Government of the Republic of Belarus. The event is arranged by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus and JSC "Technics and Communications".
The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Sivak, Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Alexey Lyakhnovich, Member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC Arzybek Kozhoshev, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Dmitry Zverev, Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Satzhan Ablaliyev, Deputy Minister of Transport and Digital Development of Azerbaijan Javid Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhomjon Abdugafarov.
State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev reported: "In pursuance of the instructions of the President of Belarus, we will strive to reach a new level of passenger transportation. We are grateful for the response of the management of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus and Belarusian Railways to our proposal to increase the number of cars in Belarus branded train on Minsk-Moscow route; these are only the first steps."
The solemn ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich.
A working meeting of representatives of the Transport Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus and the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor) took place in Vitebsk.
